WALTER SURFACE TECHNOLOGIES - QUICK-STEP™ Starter Kit is built to take a metal surface from the blend welds stage up to a mirror finish. Suitable for use on stainless steel, steel, aluminum and copper alloy applications.
QUICK-STEP™
Is a metal surface finishing system built to reduce the number of products required to achieve the desired finishes. Starting with a quick-step backing pad that makes disc changes possible in a matter of seconds.
Build
Made to introduce all the different abrasive products Walter supplies for metal finishing. Complete kit will take a metal surface from the weld blending stage up to a #4 or #8 mirror finish surface.
Use a different felt disc for each paste (sold separately)

- Coated Abrasives: A coated abrasive is an assembly of abrasive grains fixed with an adhesive to a backing material such as resin, rubber, polyester, paper, or cloth.
- Flap Disc: A flap disc is a disc that is built with overlapping layers of abrasive sheets that are bonded to a central hub. As these "flaps" wear away during use, new abrasive grains are exposed to extend the life of the disc.
- Non-Woven Abrasives: Abrasives built with synthetic entangled fibers in different shapes and forms that are impregnated with abrasive grain.
- Hook & Loop Discs: Abrasive discs with a hook & loop (Velcro) backing are tear resistant, generate less heat during use and provide quicker change times.
