The Makita Cordless Rotary Hammer (DHR242RFEV & DHR242Z) with a brushless DC motor is a lightweight, 3 mode rotary hammer with SDS-PLUS shank. It functions as hammer and rotation, hammer only, or rotation only. The hammer's brushless DC motor has a high ratio of power-to-weight and size.
The HEPA filter dust extraction system features one-touch attachment/removal system, adjustable depth gauge, and large capacity dust box that maximizes efficiency and versatility.
If the tool jams, its torque limiter stops bit rotation for increased safety and enhanced tool protection.
The hammer is built with a RUBBER joint that ensures vibration doesn't reach the battery; this minimizes battery failures due to terminal breakage or poor electrical contact.
The 40 angle bit positions enable chisels to be positioned at optimum angle of operation. The one touch sliding chuck makes bit changing quick and easy.
Its plastic housing bumper protects the mode selector switch and the gear housing from damage.
It also has an ergonomic soft RUBBER grip that absorbs vibration and operates comfortably.
