Product Description

The 3M Scotch-Weld Industrial Plastic Adhesive is built for bonding ABS, polycarbonate, and PMMA plastics, plus vinyl, ceramics, glass, leather, & cloth.


Build

This epoxy adhesive dries clear, stays flexible and can be used on materials both indoors and outdoors.

Dries with a flexible, firm bond that is resistant to water, detergents, soaps, plasticizer migration, oils, and grease.

Suitable for general-purpose use where a clear and non-yellowing adhesive is required.


Won't yellow from sunlight exposure!


Safety

It is recommended to wear indirect venting goggles, butyl rubber gloves, a butyl rubber apron, and an optional respirator when using this product.

This adhesive is flammable so keep away from flames or sparks.

How to Use

  • Make sure surfaces to be bonded are fully clean, free from dirt, dust, and debris
  • Clean surfaces with solvent or methyl ethyl ketone to remove any grease or oil
  • Apply adhesive to one or both surfaces and bond immediately
  • Apply firm pressure until surfaces are bonded, usually a few minutes
  • There's about 10 - 20 minute open time where surfaces can be repositioned
  • Full cure in 24 hours to get maximum strength
  • Dries clear and shiny

Clean-Up and Storage

Use methyl ethyl ketone or other solvents to clean any cured or uncured excess adhesive.

Store product in a locked container that is between 16°C - 27°C.

Shelf life is 15 months for an unopened container.
