Product Description
The Greenlee Combination Drill and Tap Bit has complete hole drilling, tapping, and deburring/countersinking in one operation, which saves time and labour.
Its back is tapered beyond the tap to prevent thread damage from over-drilling.
The deburr/countersink is also provided on the bit beyond the back taper.
Its made from hardened HIGH-SPEED STEEL for extended life, and built to tap up to 10-gauge metal.
The high quality hex shank ensures a strong connection to the drill chuck.
The Quick Change Adaptor is included in both metric and standard kits.
- Tap: A tap is built to cut a female thread on the inside surface of a hole.
- Deburring: Deburring is the act of removing unwanted material, known as Burrs, from a work piece. Burrs are usually created during the following operations; grinding, drilling, milling, engraving or turning.
- Combo Taps: Cutting tools built to drill into various materials while simultaneously creating female threads within the newly bored hole.
