Product Description

The 3M™ 560 Polyurethane Adhesive Sealant is built to replace the use of mechanical fasteners and rivets used in the installation of truck and bus interior and external wall panels, roofs, and floors.


Build

This 560 polyurethane adhesive sealant is extremely strong and remains flexible when fully cured.

This product is smoke and flame rated when cured.

After a skin forms, this product can be painted with water based paints and it will still cure properly.

This product has a service temperature range of -40°C and 90°C and should be applied between 5°C and 35°C.


The long 50 minute work time makes it easy to use this product!


Safety

Wear gloves, indirectly vented goggles and protect your skin from contamination when using this product.

An air purifying respirator that is suitable for organic vapors and particulates is recommended.

Do not apply on frozen or wet materials.

How to Use

  • For use with an applicator gun that has a cartridge plunger
  • Puncture seal in the nozzle and remove the pull-tab seal in the bottom of the cartridge.
  • Load into applicator and seal according to applicator directions
  • Cut nozzle to desired size and shape
  • Use within 24 hours
  • Bond materials within the first 50% of skin time for the strongest bond
  • Product can be tooled after dispensing to get the desired appearance

Clean-Up and Storage

Store unopened containers below 25°C and away from heat sources.

Typical shelf life is up to 12 months from the date of manufacture for unopened product.

Use solvents or methyl ethyl ketone to clean up any excess uncured product. Cured product can be scraped off with a knife, piano wire or sanded off.
