Product Description

The 3M Scotch-Weld™ Low Odor Acrylic Adhesive DP810 is built to replace the need for riveting, welding and bolt setting metals together and will provide a clean, fastener-free finish.


Build

This adhesive is unique for acrylic adhesives as it has a really low odor compared to other acrylic adhesives resulting in better handling conditions when using this product.

The shear strength of this adhesive is 3600 lbs/in² and it has also been formulated to offer high peel strength.

DP810 has been built to be impact and shock resistant while also being able to withstand noise vibration.

Use with the 3M Scotch-Weld EPX™ Plus II Applicator and 3M EPX™ 9171 Applicator Mixing Nozzle 12 Pack.


This adhesive can bond oily metals with minimal surface preparation!


Safety

Avoid breathing fumes, wash hands thoroughly with soap and water after handling.

Wear polymer laminate gloves, indirect safety glasses or a full-face shield while using this adhesive. It is also recommended to wear a respirator that filters organic vapors and particulates when using this product.

Heat is generated during the curing process so keep hands protected while bonding materials.

How to Use

For bonding steel and aluminum:

  • Wipe with acetone or isopropyl alcohol
  • Sandblast or abrade with 180 grit sandpaper
  • Wipe again with solvent to clean off dust
  • If using primer or acid etching, allow surface to dry before using this adhesive
  • Apply adhesive with a 1:1 mix ratio

For bonding plastic or rubber:

  • Wipe with acetone or isopropyl alcohol
  • Abrade with 180 grit sandpaper
  • Wipe again with solvent to clean off dust
  • Apply adhesive with a 1:1 mix ratio

Use with applicator gun:

  • Place duo-pack cartridge into applicator gun
  • Remove Cap
  • Dispense Adhesive until free flowing
  • Attach mixing nozzle
  • Dispense adhesive onto desired surfaces

Clean-Up and Storage

Any excessive adhesive can be cleaned up with solvents like MEK or isopropyl alcohol.

Store away from heat, amines and keep in a locked container.

For maximum shelf life of 12 months, store between 0°C and 4°C and DO NOT freeze.
